With this victory, Costa Rica surged to the top of Group B, delivering a commanding performance in front of their home crowd.
Isaac Badilla opened the scoring in the 26th minute, continuing his impressive form with his fourth goal of the campaign. Brayan Calderón doubled the advantage just before halftime in the 43rd minute.
Marcus Brown extended the lead to 3-0 in the 60th minute, and Calderón secured his brace six minutes later in the 66th. Nick Bennette put the finishing touch on Costa Rica’s dominant display with a fifth goal in the 83rd minute, sealing a comprehensive victory for Los Ticos.
