SEVERAL SCHOOLS ADVANCE TO THE BDO LEAGUE SEMI-FINALS

The 2024-25 BDO Schools League continued this week with intense quarterfinal action, setting up exciting semi-final matchups across multiple age divisions.

St. Georges and Ciboney advanced in the Under 12 category, while Ciboney and Cedar International secured their places in the Under 9 division. Enid Scatliffe and St. Georges also made their way to the semis in the Under 7 category.

Playing in the first Under 12 quarterfinal match at the Greenland Football Field on Tuesday, St. Georges, dressed in green, triumphed over Pelican Gate with a 4-2 victory.

Gibran Tarabay and Triston Aguiar both found the net twice for St. Georges, while Dillon George and Rodney Prince responded with a goal each for Pelican Gate.

In the second Under 12 quarterfinals, Ciboney secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over their opponents, with Sharif Kaddoura scoring the decisive goal in the 22nd minute.

Ciboney continued their dominant run by booking a spot in the Under 9 semi-finals with a commanding 4-0 win over Enis Adams Primary. Keion Paul-Williams led the charge with two goals, while Luka Boudon and Lyrbron Fahie added one each.

The second Under 9 quarterfinals was a thrilling encounter decided by penalties, with Cedar International edging past Seventh Day Adventist 3-2. Cedar’s goals came from Shawari Pemberton, Sawyer Geyser, and Fraser Bruce, while William Vergel and Xavion Fraites were the scorers for Seventh Day Adventist.

Meanwhile, in the Under 7 division, Enid Scatliffe Maroons made a statement with a resounding 5-0 win over Willard Wheatley, securing their spot in the semis. St. Georges also advanced in dominant fashion, defeating Enis Adams 6-1.

With these results, the stage is set for highly anticipated semi-final matchups as the young talents continue to showcase their skills in the 2024-25 BDO Schools League.
