The British Virgin Islands wrapped up their campaign in the 2025 CONCACAF Men’s Under-17 Qualifiers with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Guyana on Sunday, February 16, at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Costa Rica.
After a scoreless first half, Guyana took the lead in the 53rd minute, putting the BVI on the back foot. However, in the 90th +1 minute, Luca Stuttard delivered a stunning volley to equalize, securing his third goal of the tournament and salvaging a point for the team.
With this result, the BVI finished fourth in Group B with four points, ahead of Sint Maarten, who failed to register a win. The team had started their campaign with a commanding victory over Sint Maarten but suffered consecutive losses to Trinidad and Tobago and host Costa Rica.
Costa Rica topped the group with three wins and a draw, securing their 11th FIFA Under-17 World Cup qualification with a decisive 2-0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago in their final match.
