The Royal Anguilla Police Force has confirmed the tragic shooting death of 29-year-old Omari Roberts, a Virgin Islander, in the early hours of Monday, February 17, 2025.
Roberts, who had arrived on the island just three days earlier on February 14, was fatally shot at Hill Side Bar, located on Back Street, South Hill.
According to Anguilla police, authorities received reports of the incident shortly after midnight and responded to the scene. Police said in light of the ongoing investigation, the section of road in the vicinity of Hill Side Bar has been closed to all traffic until further notice.

Roberts’ killing marks another tragic loss for the Virgin Islands community, following the murder of another Virgin Islander, Kalik Aaron, also known as ‘Dusman,’ in Anguilla last August 2024.
