HUNTUMS GHUT ENTREPRENEURIAL ZONE TO EMPOWER LOCAL BUSINESSES

A new era of opportunity has dawned for aspiring entrepreneurs in the Virgin Islands with the official opening of the Huntums Ghut Entrepreneurial Zone.

The long-awaited initiative represents a major step in fostering economic growth by providing startup businesses with an affordable and supportive space to launch and expand their ventures.

Minister for Communication and Works and Fifth District Representative Hon. Kye Rymer, who spearheaded the project, described the zone as a significant investment in the future of Virgin Islanders. Speaking at the launch, he emphasized the initiative’s role in empowering local entrepreneurs while strengthening the economy.

The Entrepreneurial Zone consists of two newly constructed, resilient two-story buildings. The first measures 60 feet by 20 feet and can accommodate up to 14 businesses, while the second, slightly larger at 70 feet by 20 feet, provides space for up to 20 businesses.

Minister Rymer also revealed that the total investment for the project amounted to more than $1.2 million.
