Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) British Virgin Islands (BVI) was reintroduced to the BVI community last week, reaffirming its commitment to sharing the Gospel with children across the territory. As a local chapter of an international Bible-centered, interdenominational, non-profit organization, CEF BVI says they are dedicated to evangelizing boys and girls with the message of Jesus Christ, discipling them in the Word of God, and guiding them into Bible-believing churches for Christian growth.
In an official statement the organization said, “The week of sessions with Pastor Beltane could not have come at a more critical time, as the territory faces an upsurge in social disruption affecting both the community and schools. With increasing concerns about youth behavior, violence, and moral decline, these sessions provided a timely and necessary reminder of the power of faith-based mentorship and biblical guidance in shaping the lives of young people.” CEF BVI says it remains committed to being a beacon of hope, offering spiritual and moral support to help children navigate these challenging times.
Close to 50 persons attended the seminar representing local businesses, churches, schools and volunteers to learn more about CEF BVI which is a growing Ministry that seeks to reach all children in the Virgin Islands mainly through its Good News Clubs which are now established in several primary schools. This past Christmas over 2000 children heard the Gospel through CEF BVI Christmas Party Clubs. Child Evangelism Fellowship, is the largest evangelistic outreach organizations in the world and it currently exists in over 200 countries. By 2032, CEF is striving to reach 100 million children with the Gospel by training and equipping more workers and volunteers to effectively teach children.
CEF BVI added that it requires the support of the community in order to continue to function and to expand into more schools. The Good News Clubs and the other annual offerings are self-funded and require additional support. The community has already begun to support the organization by volunteering and donating financial gifts however more support is needed in order to impact the community in a more meaningful way.
