MULTI-STAKEHOLDER PARTNERSHIP AIMS TO TRANSFORM ROAD TOWN

The government has launched a new public-private initiative aimed at beautifying and maintaining the Road Town area as part of a broader strategy to enhance tourism and quality of life for residents.
Junior Minister of Culture and Tourism Luce Hodge Smith announced the Road Town Partnership during a ceremony attended by representatives from various government departments, business organizations and civil society groups.

The partnership brings together officials from Public Works, Solid Waste, the City Manager’s Office, the BVI Tourist Board, and Town and Country Planning Department, alongside the BVI Chamber of Commerce and various civil society organizations.

The program aims to create a collaborative approach to development planning that officials say is crucial for creating a sustainable vision for Road Town. Public participation forms a key component of the initiative.
