The Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) say they are excited to announce the launch of its Lunch Ambassador Program, a key initiative under the Partners for Peace program. This program invites parents and community members to volunteer during lunchtime once a week to support student supervision while fostering meaningful relationships with students in a positive, engaging environment.
The Lunch Ambassador Program is designed to enhance the school’s efforts in promoting a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Volunteers play an essential role in helping to monitor the lunch period while also serving as mentors, offering guidance, and encouraging positive interactions among students.
Assistant Principal Tanika Phillips expressed enthusiasm about the program, stating, “We believe that strong school-community partnerships contribute to a supportive and enriching educational experience for our students. The Lunch Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for parents and community members to engage with students in a meaningful way, fostering trust and promoting positive behavior.”
The initiative aligns with ESHS’s commitment to creating a caring and inclusive school environment, ensuring that students feel supported not only by educators but also by the broader community.
ESHS added that they welcome parents and community members who are interested in becoming Lunch Ambassadors to sign up and make a difference. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, encouraging positive behavior, or simply engaging in friendly conversations, volunteers will have the opportunity to help shape a supportive and connected school community.
