RVIPF RECOVERS FIREARM AND AMMUNITION, ARRESTS TWO

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has announced that during the early morning hours of Thursday, April 24, 2025, officers responded to a report of two masked men seen in the vicinity of a popular local bank. Officers immediately responded and as a result, a firearm and several rounds of ammunition were recovered. Two masked individuals were also pursued and arrested in connection with the incident.

Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool praised the officers for their quick action and vigilance and also the public for their continued support in the fight against crime.

“This operation is a clear example of our officers’ courage, dedication, and tactical skill. Their quick actions may have prevented a more serious incident from occurring,”

stated Commissioner Vanterpool. “I also want to thank the public for their continued trust and cooperation. It is only by working together that we can keep our communities safe.

Every bit of information helps, and we urge anyone with knowledge that may assist this investigation to come forward.”
