1ST BAHAMIAN PHYSICIAN DIES OF COVID-19

Dr Judson Eneas has been confirmed as the first physician in The Bahamas to die as a result of COVID-19.

His death marks the fifth COVID-19 related death in the country.

Dr Eneas, a well-known internal medicine specialist and nephrologist was confirmed positive in a Ministry of Health statement on Wednesday, April 1.

The following day, Thursday, April 2, the Ministry of Health revealed that Case # 18, who we now know to be Dr Eneas, had been hospitalized in Intensive Care.

Last night April 4th, 2020, just two days later, he died.

He was 72.

He is survived by his wife, Marcheta, and their three children.
