BAHAMIAN OFFICIALS ALLOW RESIDENTS TO ACCESS ESSENTIALS WITH GOSPEL MUSIC

In Grand Bahama, officials continue to be creative in making sure residents have access to essentials in the simplest way possible. All across the region, countries are on lock-down while others on curfew.

The Office of the Prime Minister, Grand Bahama in conjunction with the Royal Bahamas Police Force have implemented a ticketing system at the three (3) major Food stores in Grand Bahama, Cost Rite, Solomon’s Lucaya and Sawyers. Shoppers can choose to wait in the car until their number is called and listen to gospel music by local DJs.

Gospel music is specially played while customers wait for their numbers to be called. Some may wonder why Gospel music. Ever since the global pandemic that is COVID-19 persons have begun to lean more heavily on faith. Bahamian officials and businesses are doing their part to keep residents encouraged during these times.

Shoppers are constantly being reminded of the extended shopping times and are encouraged to continue to maintain social distancing.
