USVI CURFEW LIFTED AFTER THE PASSAGE OF TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS; SEAPORTS REOPEN AT NOON

VI CONSORTIUM – Governor Albert Bryan announced during a 7:30 a.m. press briefing that he lifted the curfew imposed at midnight last night at 6:00 a.m. this morning, proclaiming, “The good news is it’s a bright sun-shinning day in the Virgin Islands.”

Mr. Bryan also said government employees should report to work — whether in-person or from home — at 10:00 a.m. this morning.

Additionally, the governor said his administration would soon announce a plan for sandbag pickup. The idea, he said, is to prevent large gatherings at the Dept. of Public Works, fearing a spread of the coronavirus.
