At a town hall meeting held yesterday Tuesday March 8th, 2022. Tina Comissiong was introduced as the new chief executive officer of Schneider Regional Medical Center by Dr. Jerry Smith, District Governing Board Chairman of the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
Comissiong has been serving in the acting capacity since September 2021.
Our newsroom reached to Dr. Smith who further confirmed the appointment.
Smith in his comments at the town hall meeting said, “The new SRMC CEO was selected from among a group of four highly qualified and experienced hospital executive candidates.”
In an official comment, Comissiong spoke about motivation and the support she reached over the past few years. Stating, “I learned a lot of what I know today by working and interacting with many of them. I started here as an intern almost 20 years ago and trained and rotated with you and some of the department heads that are here today, so thank you.”
Some of her plans include, cohesive partnership between the management team and staff of Schneider Regional Medical Center, updated IT systems, improved supply chains, and improved hospital finances.
