The BVI Under 20 national football team is set to play their first match of the 2024 CONCACAF Under 20 Championship Qualifying against host Nicaragua tonight.
The match is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. BVI time at the Nicaragua National Stadium.
Prior to the team’s departure, 284 Media caught up with members of the team, including Head Coach Clinton ‘Tinnie’ Percival.
Percival disclosed the overall goal of the team in this year’s edition of the tournament.
We also spoke to Captain Jaden Abrams who said the aim is to win and end the tournament as group leaders.
Abrams also spoke about the adjustments he made to improve his overall game ahead of the championship qualifier.
The BVI is in Group A of the tournament with teams such as Anguilla, Belize, Cuba and Nicaragua.
After tonight’s match, the BVI will face Cuba on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. BVI time.
