ADAEJAH DEFENDS 200M NEW BALANCE INDOOR NATIONALS TITLE – PLACED 2ND IN 60M

British Virgin Islander Adaejah Hodge left spectators in awe at the New Balance Indoor Nationals on Sunday as she successfully defended her 200-metre title in a remarkable sub-23-second race.

Representing Montverde Academy, Hodge delivered a stunning performance, crossing the finish line in an impressive 22.96 seconds. Hodge’s electrifying run not only secured her victory but also distinguished her as the sole finalist from the two semi-final heats to break the elusive 23-second barrier.

Teammate Dasia Reed demonstrated the strength of Montverde Academy’s sprinting squad, securing a solid second place with a time of 23.67 seconds. Sade Gray of Run Fast Track Club claimed the third spot, clocking in at 23.82 seconds.

The day started on a high note for Hodge, who earlier competed in the 60-metre final. Displaying her versatility, she clinched a second-place finish with a swift time of 7.22 seconds. The top spot in the 60-metre race went to Brianna Selby of Speed Evolutions Athletics Club, who set a personal best with a winning time of 7.19 seconds.
