ISLANDERS FC SOAR TO THE TOP OF THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Islanders FC continues to assert their dominance in the BVI Football Association National League, extending their impressive win streak to six matches and securing the top spot in the standings following a 4-1 victory last weekend.

In their latest triumph, Islanders FC delivered a commanding performance against Panthers FC. Led by the coaching expertise of Fitzroy Daley, Islanders FC demonstrated cohesion and resilience throughout the match, with Antonio Rodney leading the charge with a remarkable hat trick, supported by a goal from Deshaun Bassaragh. Panthers FC managed a lone goal from Marcus Butler but ultimately succumbed to the relentless pressure from the league leaders.

Coach Daley commended the players for their collective effort, emphasizing the significance of the win for the club.

Meanwhile, One Love FC bounced back from previous setbacks with a commanding 7-3 victory over Positive FC. Shyane Prince delivered a brace for One Love FC, while contributions from Tashan Wallace, Zeron Samuel, Kenroy Palmer, John Samuel, and Julian Davidson propelled the team to success. Coach Javon Carty expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, highlighting their dominance, particularly in the first half of the match.

Positive FC, despite their efforts, struggled to contain One Love FC’s offensive prowess, with Mathurin Rosier managing to score twice along with Nicardo Dixon’s goal.

In another thrilling encounter, Rebels FC staged a late resurgence to secure a dramatic 4-2 victory over Sugar Boys FC. Trailing 2-1, Rebels FC staged a remarkable comeback in the final minutes of the match, with Kelvin Glasgow, Malik Kemauri Fenton, and Curtly Peters delivering crucial goals to secure the win.

Games continue this weekend with the Islanders set to play Positive FC this Saturday at Greenland with an 8.30 p.m. kick-off, whilst on Sunday, March 17, also at Greenland, Lion Heart FC play Rebels FC at 6.15 p.m. followed by Old Madrid FC against Sugar Boys FC at 8.30 p.m.
