Adaejah Hodge has secured her place in the semifinals of the women’s 200-meter event at the World Athletics Under 20 Championships, demonstrating her impressive form in the preliminary rounds.
Competing in Heat 3 on Thursday, Hodge breezed to a first-place finish, clocking an impressive 23.19 seconds. Her time was the fastest among all qualifiers, positioning her as a strong contender heading into the next round. Australian sprinter Torrie Lewis followed with the second-fastest qualifying time of 23.27 seconds.
Hodge’s dominant performance has set high expectations for her semifinal race, which is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. BVI time this evening.
