The BDO Schools Football League kicked off Monday, November 4, showcasing young talent across the territory.
The first rounds of games saw impressive performances, big wins, and standout individual efforts.
On Monday, November 4:
In the Under-7 division, Cedar International A delivered a commanding 6-1 victory over Enid Scatliffe Gray. Cedar’s Sebastian Cross led with four goals, while Tobias Freeman and Jeronimo Zorraquin each contributed a goal to secure the win.
The Under-9 action at Greenland saw Bregado Flax Primary triumph over Alexandrina Maduro Primary with a score of 4-0. Azari Alexander netted two goals, while Nevaeh Oscar and Ni’Anjai Thomas each added one to the tally.
Under-12 teams also competed fiercely, with Robinson O’Neal defeating Joyce Samuel Primary 4-0, featuring two goals from Nathan Martin, a goal from Azariyah Creque, and an own goal.
A thrilling Under-12 match between St. Georges and Cedar International C delivered eight total goals, with St. Georges emerging victorious at 7-1. Kebra Mitchell led the team with four goals, while Triston D’Agaiar scored two, and Christian Campbell added one.
On Tuesday, November 6:
In the Under-7 division, Bregado Flax won over Willard Wheatley 2-0, thanks to goals from Samari Williams and Justin Russel. Enid Scatliffe Red also claimed a 4-0 victory against Seventh Day Adventist, with goals from King Fahie, Michael Garcia, J’Karie Telimaque, and an own goal.
The Under-9 games saw St. Georges A defeat Ciboney B 5-0, with goals by Rhiley Martin, Evin Katra, Phoenix Gravesande, Rami Tarabay, and Andre Liverpool. In a close match, Francis Lettsome edged out Willard Wheatley 2-1, led by Kyrie Isaac’s two goals.
In Under-12 play, a defensive battle between Seventh Day Adventist and Pelican Gate ended in a scoreless draw. Francis Lettsome brought an offensive spark against Cedar B with a decisive 6-0 win. Goal scorers included Devon Mellor, Isabella Quezalla (two goals), Shwari Pemberton, and Charlie Saunders (two goals).
