GOVT URGES INTER CARIBBEAN AIRWAYS TO IMPROVE SERVICE AMID PUBLIC COMPLAINTS

In response to growing concerns from the public regarding inadequate air travel services, the Government of the Virgin Islands has intervened, urging Inter Caribbean Airways to expedite efforts to address ongoing issues affecting travellers.

Minister of Communications and Works, Honourable Kye Rymer, convened urgent discussions with airline executives following numerous complaints about delays, cancellations, and other service-related problems.

During the meeting, which included Inter Caribbean Airways’ Chief Executive Officer Trevor Sadler and Chief Operations Officer Craig Chapple, the airline officials cited technical difficulties with their aircraft and persistent staffing challenges as the primary causes of the disruptions.

Honourable Rymer emphasized the importance of reliable air transport services for the territory, stating, “Dependable and efficient air transport services are crucial for maintaining regional connections and supporting the local economy.”

He reiterated the government’s commitment to the well-being of both residents and visitors, urging the airline to restore the standard of service that the community expects and deserves.

In response to the minister’s concerns, Inter Caribbean Airways assured the government that they are actively working to resolve the technical and crew-related issues that have been impacting their operations.

As the situation unfolds, both the government and Inter Caribbean Airways are hopeful that swift action will lead to improved travel experiences for all passengers in the British Virgin Islands.
