MHV Resorts & Hotels has officially taken over operations of Quito’s Luxury Inn and Quito’s Gazebo Restaurant & Bar in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, effective October 1, 2024, following months of negotiations.
In a recent press release, MHV Resorts and Hotels revealed that the property will be rebranded as The Cane Garden Bay Beach Hotel, while the restaurant will become Rhythm & Sands. Both establishments will undergo renovations before reopening.
Mark Vanterpool, head of the MHV group, expressed enthusiasm about joining the Cane Garden Bay community. “MHV Resorts and Hotels is excited to join the vibrant Cane Garden Bay community that has long been an iconic hub for tourism and culture in the BVI,” Vanterpool said.
MHV Resorts & Hotels, with nearly 40 years of business experience in the British Virgin Islands, aims to create more employment opportunities and partner with local businesses to develop the area sustainably.
The renovated restaurant is expected to open within the next month, with the hotel following shortly after. Management plans to preserve the location’s reputation for great music and cuisine, aiming to be fully operational for the 2024-2025 tourist season.
This acquisition marks MHV’s expansion into the hospitality sector, adding to its existing portfolio of supermarkets, food services, and restaurants in the British Virgin Islands.
