SID’S POMATO POINT WINS BIG AT 12TH ANEGADA LOBSTER FEST

After a weekend of culinary delight at the 12th annual Anegada Lobster Fest, Sid’s Pomato Point claimed the inaugural Alffy Trophy for Best Lobster Sampler, besting 12 other restaurants.

Anegada Beach Club and Anegada Reef Hotel secured second and third place respectively.

Held under the theme “Lobster, Fun and Anegada Sun”, the competition was judged by renowned Executive Chef Shane Huggins, Saint Martin’s Gastronomy Festival 2024 Chef Ambassador. The award was presented by Huggins and BVI Tourist Board Director Clive McCoy in the presence of Premier Dr. the Hon. Natalio Wheatley and District Representative Hon. Vincent Wheatley.

While turnout appeared slightly lower than in 2023, Vincent Wheatley highlighted the event’s continued success and encouraged innovation by the BVI Tourist Board to attract broader audiences next year.

He commended all restaurants for their creativity, noting guests enjoyed a memorable experience.

Plans are already in motion to elevate the festival in 2025, ensuring Anegada remains a top destination for seafood enthusiasts.
