TROPICAL WAVE BRINGS UNSETTLED WEATHER TO BVI, IMPROVEMENTS EXPECTED

A tropical wave is currently influencing weather conditions across the British Virgin Islands (BVI), bringing increased moisture and instability to the region. The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Services reports that this system is maintaining a heightened chance of shower activity throughout the day, with gradual improvements expected by evening.

Today, residents and visitors can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a high 70 percent chance of showers.

As the day progresses, conditions are forecast to improve. Tonight’s outlook calls for fair to partly cloudy skies, with the chance of showers decreasing to a moderate 40 percent. Any showers that do occur are expected to be brief.

Winds are predominantly from the east-southeast, ranging from 15 to 30 kilometers per hour (9 to 18 mph). These winds may ease overnight, providing calmer conditions. Mariners should note that seas are expected to be moderate, ranging from 1.2 to 1.8 meters (4 to 6 feet).

As always, residents and visitors are advised to stay informed about the latest weather updates and take necessary precautions when venturing outdoors or to sea.
