The death certificate of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has revealed that the late British Monarch died of “old age”.
The National Records of Scotland released the Queen’s death certificate last week, citing her cause of death as ‘old age’, the same stated cause of death for her husband the late Prince Philip who died last year.
Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle on Thursday, September 8 at approximately 3.10pm, the document confirmed.
Also confirmed in the document was that the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne was named as the ‘informant’ who would have notified the local registrar of her mother’s death.
According to a British media site, a spokesman for His Majesty King Charles III said that the public was only informed after every family member of the Royal Family had been informed.
